Wrestling Results from the Andy Bates Invitational

The Freshman Wrestling team competed in the Andy Bates Maumee Freshman Invitational Tournament this weekend, and placed second as team. Wrestlers Arthur Harris, Andrew Duckett, Mason Schmoekl, Jacob Jackson, and Ian Kaufman placed second in their respective weight classes. Tomas Nino and Kayne Woods placed 3rd. Wrestling District Tournament

The Irish advance three wrestlers to the individual state championships beginning Thursday afternoon in Columbus. Josh Venia and Richard Jackson were crowned as district champions and Rosendo Beltran finished 2nd! Bryce Quinlan, Demarko Craig, and Muhammad Mahdi competed hard but fell short of advancement.  In total the CCHS wrestlers finished 8th out of 48 teams

The Central Catholic wrestling team competed at the sectional tournament this weekend at Clyde high school. The Irish had a great tournament and were able to advance six wrestlers to the district tournament next week at Fostoria. The team had four sectional champions and two other qualifiers. BLADE STAFF – 02/07/2016, 12:14am EST LIMA — Clay won its fifth consecutive Three Rivers Athletic Conference wrestling championship Saturday at  Lima Senior behind six individual winners. Clay scored 235.5 points to finish ahead of Findlay (162) and Fremont Ross (148.5). Matt Stencel won at 220 pounds to earn his fourth league title at four different weights.

Wrestling Team in action, December 4-5

The Irish Wrestling Team competed at two separate events this weekend. At the Solon Comet Classic, we had two place winners, Josh Venia placed 3rd and Rosendo Beltran place 2nd. The freshman wrestling team had an excellent showing at the Maumee Freshman Tournament, with all seven wrestlers receiving medals. Cresencio Soto dominated the 126 pound

Informational Wrestling Meeting – Tuesday, October 27

There is a wrestling meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, October 27 directly after school in the front gym for anyone who has not signed up yet.  Head Coach, Adam Morris, will be handing out important information for the upcoming season.
