Multiple Teams · Lady Irish Take Care of Business at SUA

On Thursday, 12.12.19, the Lady Irish and SUA Arrows came together, at St. Ursula, to recognize those who have survived or are currently battling cancer. In addition to the fans wearing pink, or the color representing the cancer they are fighting or supporting, survivors and fighters were recognized at the game. A majority of proceeds from the game were donated to the Victory Center.
In the Varsity contest, the Irish defeated the Arrows, 46-36. Kate Ellis was the game-high scorer, pacing the Irish with 20 points. Avery Reinhart netted 16. Also supporting the Irish victory were strong defensive performances from Jen Pryer and Traci Cross. The Irish move to 3-2 for the season and 3-0 in the TRAC.
The Irish JV topped the Arrows, 52-29. Brookelyn McClung led the Irish attack, with 21 points. Mary Ellis added 12. The “W” takes the Irish JV squad to 5-0 overall and 3-0 in the TRAC.
The Lady Irish Freshmen fell to the Arrows, 41-10. Mya Seymour was the leading scorer for the Irish, with 6 points.
Next week’s Lady Irish Hoops action…Monday, 12.16, at Clay HS and Thursday, 12.19, vs. Notre Dame, at the Sullivan Center. For both dates, Freshmen start at 4:30, JV tip at 6:00 and the Varsity begin at 7:30.
