Central Catholic received a challenge for almost three quarters Friday from host Clay before pulling away for a 41-10 Three Rivers Athletic Conference football victory.

Fighting Irish receiver Jase Bowen scored on a 63-yard run and a 74-yard pass from Troy Durden in the first half as Central (5-0, 2-0 TRAC), Ohio’s second-ranked Division III team, took a 21-10 lead to halftime.

Central used a 74-yard drive capped by Durden’s 5-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter, Jonzell Norrils closed a 64-yard march with a 3-yard touchdown run with 3 minutes, 41 seconds left in the game, and A’siah Smith tacked on a 12-yard scoring run on the game’s final play.
