Senior Jack Grombacher named Three Rivers Athletic Conference (TRAC) Golfer of the Year!

The Irish golfers completed their 2017 TRAC season on Monday at the TRAC Championship. The tournament was played at Stone Ridge golf club in Bowling Green where the Irish finished in third place with a score of 327. They were led by CO-MEDALIST Jack Grombacher with a score of 75. Sophomore Charlie Cronin (83) and senior Daniel Powers (83) finished in 14th place and senior Parker Swartz (86) finished in 17th place. Daniel Sullivan (97) and Owen Kitz (102) rounded out the scoring for the Irish.

The TRAC season awards were also handed out at the championship. Jack Grombacher was awarded Central Catholic’s first ever TRAC Player of the Year! In the five league events, Grombacher recorded two first place finishes (Red Hawk Run -74, TRAC Champ. 75), a second (Heatherdowns -73), a third (Maumee Bay-75), and a fifth (Stone Ridge – 78). In addition to Grombacher, senior Daniel Powers was named Second Team All-TRAC, and senior Parker Swartz was named Honorable Mention. CONGRATULATIONS IRISH!
